Pendampingan Desain Perencanaan dan Pembuatan Halte Sampah Botol Plastik di Kampung Ratna Chaton

Permasalahan sampah plastik, khususnya botol plastik sekali pakai berbahan Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET),
telah menjadi ancaman serius bagi kelestarian lingkungan global maupun lokal karena karakteristik materialnya
yang sangat sulit terurai secara alami di alam. Di wilayah Kampung Ratna Chaton, Kecamatan Seputih Raman,
minimnya infrastruktur pengumpulan sampah yang spesifik mengakibatkan limbah botol plastik seringkali
mencemari lahan terbuka, pemukiman, hingga menyumbat saluran irigasi pertanian warga. Kegiatan pengabdian
masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melaksanakan pendampingan dalam desain perencanaan serta pembuatan unit
"Halte Sampah Botol Plastik" sebagai sarana edukasi visual dan fasilitas pengumpulan sampah terpilah yang
efisien bagi komunitas desa. Metode pelaksanaan yang diterapkan meliputi tahapan observasi lapangan secara
partisipatif, diskusi terfokus bersama perangkat kampung, perancangan desain teknis berbasis material logam
yang tahan lama, proses fabrikasi mekanik (pemotongan, pengelasan, dan pengecatan), hingga instalasi fisik serta
sosialisasi masif kepada masyarakat. Hasil utama dari program ini adalah tersedianya satu unit fasilitas
penampungan botol plastik yang estetik dan fungsional di lokasi strategis kampung. Dampak nyata dari program
ini terlihat pada peningkatan kesadaran warga dalam memilah sampah botol plastik sejak dari sumber rumah
tangga, yang secara signifikan mengurangi beban pencemaran lingkungan lokal. Melalui keberadaan halte sampah
ini, botol plastik yang terkumpul secara terorganisir dapat dikelola lebih lanjut menjadi komoditas bernilai
ekonomi tinggi atau disalurkan ke bank sampah. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berhasil menciptakan model
pengelolaan sampah berbasis partisipasi komunitas yang berkelanjutan, meningkatkan kebersihan desa, dan
menjadi langkah awal transformasi budaya masyarakat menuju pola hidup bersih dan modern di pedesaan.
